The Waikato Regional Council is subject to the Privacy Act 1993, which governs how personal information (information about an identifiable individual) is collected, used, stored and accessed.

When you enrol your child in the Ruben’s Roadstars Kids Club, we ask for their name, contact information and date of birth. This is so they get their very own birthday cards and newsletters delivered to their letterbox along with a joining gift from Ruben.

We will not provide personal information to any third parties except:

• to comply with any legislative obligations
• where third parties provide you with services on our behalf or assist with delivery of our services
• to anyone authorised by you to receive it
• where the information is going to be used in a way that would not identify your child (such as statistical reporting)

We take all reasonable steps to ensure that there are safeguards in place to prevent loss, misuse or disclosure of personal information.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about your child, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.
